Stretch your limbs as if by morning, it’s been a long day Slide into the City and breath deep, it consumes you I don’t know, but I’ve been told it’s worth the trip Creep the crawling city streets and smell the lies, the rotting desires What have I done? Feels like home In this City Feels like home See young fools, they preach damage that they can bring down Bold newsprint proclaims the vivid doldrums of fame The City breaths, the City speaks, it calls to her Big ideas spin confusion around but a small idea, might turn her around Poignant words sing of chaos See the poor happy souls dancing in the acid rain I can’t escape the din, it’s pulling me in... If I could, I would, I would…

Checking into... Checking out of this life Hotel Desolation I can see fear coming Down the corridor Bringing their clean deception And chemical dreams Checking into... Checking out of this life Welcome all ye feeble minded Checking into... Checking out of this life Hotel Desolation Seek the quiet life Not the rush Nobody but me to blame Nobody but you to shame I am my own worst enemy

The indices of possibilities Played against her fears Not laid to rest A singer machine humming A lonely soundtrack for the dying now Every single eventuality The catalog of failures from A to Z

If I was to be honest with myself I am a sinking stone It’s a long way down the wishing well Down, down, down… If I could I don’t think I would drift away How could a stone ever question gravity? For all the excitement shimmering waves I know it’s still a well Any good stone knows it’s place in the world And I’ve found it here… Expectations are low here at the bottom I am a lonely stone Monolithic thoughts don’t do any good So I’ll bide my time... If I could I don’t think I would drift away How could a stone ever question gravity? If I could I don’t think I would drift away I’ve got a sinking feeling that I’m not okay Nine Point eight Zero Seven

Somebody must have said… Tidy, resolutions make the mend. Now, slippery silence, running through my mind. Do you ever feel the same? A distant memory, Crashing in front of me Imagine, harmony, Never, part of me Have we learned anything? Distance has forgotten… Your shadow remains undaunted, haunting every thought. With your voice, you say, assurance you speak Will we ever cherish the washing away? Sorrow is my trophy of despair Wind swept alley trash, Greets me like a long lost friend Pain is the disease of the living Don't you know, can't you see The fragments of…silence speaks. Beauty in the vision Void is the vision Silence speaks

Down low, I'm down here Among the detritus, of a failed science Life before now was to be assumed The stratosphere ringing in my ear As if the Heavens, torn from end to end Nothing to contain, this self-constructed life. The twisted trees of devotion Their seeds like glitter on my skin The brilliance of my ways Those lovely seeds of devotion, condemn me Itching into my skin Itching in two Down low, I'm down here Among the detritus, of a failed science Life before now, was unabridged Reduced to five lines, rendered black on white I can't think my way out of this pine box I wait and see, as the Earth engulfs me The twisted trees of devotion Their seeds like glitter on my skin The brilliance of my ways Those lovely seeds of devotion, condemn me Itching into my skin Itching in two I hear myself saying, I hear myself calling There's a song in my head I hear myself saying, I hear myself calling Sonya, suffocating Lift me up, exhume my better half I see my death before me, leading me back around Down low, I'm down here Among the detritus of a failed science. Sonya suffocating.…

"And I went down to the ground, and I don't know why. Don't tell me know, my life within Hell." A cynics heart is how, the liar sage alive. Mingled with death, this beauty to behold. Believe what you will Don't lay aside, your self-constructed pride Believe what you will Asinine assumptions kill "Hey you, can you save this life, this pathetic half-life? To the neologist, of lies I am defined (disguised)." To bleed the better half, Cadillac of fears, If only to find, Dictionary of Life. Notions to the floor A self to rebuild now A stitching hand to bare Set to her despair
